Traditional Chinese Cooking Pastes
"醬" in Chinese is a seasoning material with a pasty, viscous texture that can be used as a seasoning, relish or nonstaple food. The narrowest definition of "醬" is fermented (like soy sauce). A cooking sauce can be made with many kinds of ingredients like meat, fish, grains.
Except for the basic cooking sauces (e.g., soy sauce), there are so all kinds of cooking sauces. For most of the people, it is surely a challenge to choose one suitable sauce for cooking in the supermarket. Since the industrialize of the food industry. Many ingredients are added to our food products to prolong the shelf life and enhance the flavor. Like other products that O Health presented to the public, the cooking paste is one of the product series. We chose a few popular recipe from the popular culture and added with premium grapeseed oil that imported from Italy. We now have five products in this category, mushroom sauce, Chinese toon sauce, vegetable sauce, fermented grain sauce and spicy sauce.
